Optispark Testing
Optispark Testing
If I'm getting 12 volts to the opti from the coil wire and have no spark at the sparkplugs does that mean my opti is bad for certain or could it be a bad ground? How is the opti grounded? I read one place that pin d on the electrical connector is ground but a diagram on shoebox's sitehttp://shbox.com/1/95_ign_system_schematic.jpg shows it as Distributor low reference. I read shoebox's article on this and it makes me think that if you get volts to the opti thru the coil sparkplug wire and no spark at the sparkplugs it means the opti is bad. http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#opti_test
But I wanted a definate yes before I buy a new one.
