OK I didnt have time to search for this since im at work so sorry in advance....

Is there anyway possible to use a 94 opti on a 96 motor.... in other words can you put a non vented on a motor that came with a vented opti... can i use my vented cap on the 94 opti??/ fill me in.

Not easily. A 94 opti has a different interface to mate to the cam to drive the opti.

 

You would have to cut down the dowel pin on the 95+ cam for it to work. It can be done, but it will be irreversible until you swapped cams.

 

You would also need a different timing cover.
