Opti-spark substitutes??

I just bought an LT1/T56 and a buddy of mine says that there is a company that makes a substitute for the Opti spark but eliminates the problems affiliated with the opti spark. Does anyone know of this contraption? Also, I plan on going w/ a mild cam...which would you go with?

Re: Opti-spark substitutes??

Delteq and ltcc both have subsitutes but they still require the optispark to get the signal. They are also very expensive. If i was you i would just go with the stock opti they work fine. Just make sure that the cam dowel pin that drives the opti isn't too long. That is the main cause of opti's failing.
