Can you convert a generation 1 smallblock to accept an opti-spark. To be used in a 97 camaro. Also is their any gen 1 heads that an lt1 intake bolt on to?

There are people who have put the optical sensor in a standard distributor of some sort. There is an outfit that converts the LT1 intake to bolt to Gen 1 heads, changing the location of two bolt holes, altering the bolt bearing surfaces to match the bolt angles of the Gen 1 heads, and adding the coolant nipples that the Gen 1 heads require. They will also drill the hole for a distributor.
