Opti problem, cant get the balancer off need help

water pump is off, but cant get the balancer off the crank, any help, do i need a puller or what any help.

Its due to the heavy rust buildup. Some good penetrating oil like PB Blaster might help. Do not hammer or pry on the outside of the damper, it will damage it. If all else fails, you need a 3-jaw puller, set up to pull from the inside edges. Shoebox always has good info on most problems on his website:
