I'm still running a factory 93 non-vented opti on my car. They're not that bad if you just don't ever drive your car out in the rain or snow.

Install is very important. If you search around, the seals for the timing cover have many issues if not installed correctly. GM even had special tools that most hotrodders have gotten around by being smart about it and once installed no leaks. The water pump drive gear is famous for leaking, yet can be installed correctly with just a simple tool made out of a sharpie.
Also,a bad water pump can cause this seal to leak if the bearings are going bad and it wobbles just a little.
The Opti also needs proper alignement and ensure the dowel goes in the right spot and without forceing it.
Also, LTCC is a very good product, with great reviews, but you still need the opti sensor portion of the opti to work.
