was going to install the opti today, but ran into a problem. went to advance to get supplies needed adn they didnt have the opti seal. said it was a dealer part only. so go to the 2 closest damn GM dealers and neither parts/service dept is open on saturdays.

? is how important is the opti seal?
i dont know what it is, just went to a link i found for parts needed and it was in there. here is the link i am going by

you dont have to change the seal to make the swap but its a $10 item and its just not worth taking a chance on. You should change the seal with the opti, but if the seal is fairly new you can probably let it ride. If its older then just wait till you can get the new seal.
