i made the plug wires

I would check the Coil to Opty wire.....

got it guys,

i started to tink... my opti is new..... icm and coil are newish...fuel pump was fine before.....


when the car did start it had a bad idle...choppy and it would jump and rev....... this just popped into my head

vaccum leak>rpm fluctuates>dies on idle

looked for my vaccum leaks..... found it.....

it was the evap line to the TB... it was missing... musta forgot it....


why would my car run in the first place though...... what does the evap do

Well, are you smelling gas, have u pulled some plugs and looked at them, have u tried starting fluid, have u hooked a timing light up to some plug wires to see if its firing?

Make sure you didn't move the intake manifold gaskets around when you set the intake back on. Happened to me one time, I saw one gasket sticking about 2" out of the back of the engine. It didn't run very well

Its actually very easy to flood one of these cars out, Dont start it the first second or thrid time but keep trying to start, It will flood the plugs very fast. Odds are that if you try to put it in clear mode when starting its too late. Check some plugs, They are probably soaked in gas! Replace them and start over again!
