A big screw driver and a hammer is one way to pull (or should I say punch) out the three seals in the timing cover. Another is to use a seal pull tool that is designed for the job. I also have a set of drifts or seal installers to make easy work of installing the seals flush without warpping them.

I bought a kit of seals/gaskets at CarQuest that had the timing cover & WP gaskets, but only the crank seal for some reason. The kit did not provide the opti or the WP seals? CarQuest did not have them. I got those two through a GM dealer.
