Oil temp gauge install

I've got a quick question for you guys, where is the best place to install an electrical oil temp sending unit on a 1994 camaro? My PaceSetter LTs already pretty much touch the pressure sending unit so installing an adapter or elbow is pretty much out of the question. I noticed a plug behind the manifold when I had it off and I think thats where 1995 up F-cars use it, but I with the manifold on thats gonna be tricky to get to. Do yall have other better ideas?

that plug behind the manifold is where every old chevy motor was tapped for an oil pressure gauge. I think it would work, I kinda have a similar issue when pulling the motor out my popps twisted the motor a broke my oil press. sensor on the side. can i delete that or do i have to buy another one.

I drilled and tapped the oil drain plug to accept an oil temp sending unit. Put a connector in the wire so it can be unplugged to drain the oil.

That is a pretty clever method of doing it Fred.

Shoebox has a good photo of the location on the block behind the manifold here: http://shbox.com/1/op_sensor.jpg

Sounds like he has an "early" 94, and he already has the stock oil pressure sensor in that location. He mentions he has a problem with his headers hitting the sensor, and that he has a plugged hole in back of the intake, where the 95 (actually "late" 94 and up) sensor is located.

Hi Fred, if you were referring to my link to Shoebox's site, we're in agreement
