Need a GOOD headgasket for 200 shot, and need bore size.

Well my head gasket let go b/c I shifted to 5th for a split second, car runs out of gear. I KNOW I need to get taller tires, that problem will be corrected, but when I put these fel-pro .039 gaskets on I wasnt planning on spraying a 200 shot. I was looking at these MLS gaskets from mr. gasket http://store.summitracing.com/partde...G&autoview=sku but another problem is I dont know which bore size to buy, I was thinking the 4.040 would be good because it would put more gasket around the bores, but my engine is a 4.030 bore and I dont know if that's enough clearance. I was also thinking cometics, but I dont believe my block was finished to the specs that they require.

Call Cometic and talk to them - they are awesome to deal with.

You need to go with the 4.040 b/c that is what we use on 4.030 bore engines.

Called Golen, they told me it was RA 50 or finer, which they said is what cometic recommends. So I called cometic and double checked and ordered the 4.040 gaskets. Thanks for the help.
