Just installed an M55 pump with a canton pickup. The pickup was press fit with a bolt going through holding it on to the pump. I also welded the pickup on.

Browsing some threads, I saw someone mentioned an O ring between the pickup and the pump. I didn't look into the pump to see if there was an o ring, and I didn't install one. Does this come installed on the pump?

Also, is there a gasket that goes between the pump and the block?
