After reinstalling mine from a LT install I noticedthe cars Oil presure gauge is pegged past 80psi, last time this sensor broke in 2002 the gauge read zero

 

Sounds like the wiring harness is not connected or a wire is broken.

 

It may not be connected, its really hard to say, hind sight being 20/20 I should have pulled the entire sensor out and hooked it up in the harness conector instead of leaving it on the car and trying to get it on that way.
