is it normal for my cars oil pressure to drop from about 60psi to 20psi after its been running for awhile

 

Mine has been sorta doing that.This morning it started at 60psi then after a while it drops to 30-35 when I'm stopping or at Idle and 50-55 at while driving. I hope thats not an indication of needing an oil pump.

 

20PSI is AWSOME oil pressure for an LT1... Don't complain. Start to wonder why when it hits around 1 or 2 PSI. The spec for a warm LT1 at idle is only 6PSI anyway (no it's not a typo... i really mean 6, as in six PSI.)

 

Again... don't post the same question on multiple forums, particularly if you aren't going to include the year of your car in your signature.
