ok... when i start my car(94 Z28, true duals, and k&n CAI) the oil pressure rest at about... a little under 40.... once ive started driving... goin down the highway... at about 3k rpm... it goes all the way up to about... 60.... then when i come to a stop... it drops all the way down to a little less than 20... anybody know what could be wrong... how serious is it? thanks.

from what I see in your sig you have around 150,000 miles on the car? It looks to me like your probably about due for a rebuild but your oil pressure is not as bad as it seems. as long as it kicks up to that 40-60 range while your driving its not bad. I know my last z was about the same as yours My current z has just had a rebuild and the oil pressure goes up to 65-70 driving and around 40 at idle.

 

sounds pretty normal to me. it should drop at ilde when hot. mine stays at 40 while cruising. hot summer day it will be around 15psi
