Oil pressure ?
Sold my heritage edition and bought another 97 I would not mind beating on.Motor sounds really tight,but gauge reads very low and some times 0 oil pressure.No rattles no nothing.Reved it to 5800 with 0 o.p. and sounded tight as my 42,000 mile 97.Could the gauge be wrong?How often do those sending units go bad?Car has 160,000 miles.

I guess your gauge must be wrong. That is an interesting way to prove it.
Pull the connector off the pressure sensor and see if the gauge reads high. If so, replace your sensor. If not, your sensor wire is grounded out or the gauge is sick.
