Oil leaks, coolant leaks, newB stuff

I've been working on my car for the past couple of hours and I have some problems

1) there is oil leaking all over the front/rear of my engine. It appears to begin right below my intake on the front, and on hte back, from somewhere above lol. Hard to see I guess. It is all over my k-member and everything. I didn't have my dig. camera to take pics Also, my low oil sensor leaks, how would I fix that?

2) Coolant is leaking on the underside of my car, towards the front/pass. side. It looks like its coming from the lower left thing my acc. belt is connected to (air cond unit?) all along the bottom is green there. I looked for rad. houses that might be leaking and they all check out ok! Also, I'm having problems getting hte block drain plug to unscrew, is it just really tight?

It's rough to tell where leaks are coming from when everything is covered. Try to clean up what you can with rags and some solvent or cleaner.

You might be able to kill two birds with one stone. Your oil leak might be from the water pump drive seal in the timing cover and your coolant may be coming from the weep hole on the bottom of the pump. It drips right on the serpentine belt, so that may be why you have coolant by the a/c compressor. So If you have to replace the w/p, then you can also replace the seal for the drive shaft while the pump is out.

hmm

Thanks for the quick response.

It thought it might have been the weep hole, but it looked sparkely clean. Not even any black marks or anything around it. I will def. buy some engine degreaser stuff and clean as much as I can off, but I swear the entire block is a oily mess.

Just don't spray any water on the optispark. Look for coolant leaks right after you shut off the engine and the system is still pressurized. It does not take long for the pressure to dissipate. You might have a loose or cracked hose.
