BMR K Member and Lower A Arm Challenges

My friends and I installed a BMR K member and lower A arms this weekend. Ended up with 2 challenges, the steering linkage that used to clear my JBA single cat headers now rubs on the header, and the driver's side lower A arm rear spherical joint only fits in the slot in the K member if the joint is fully extended (can't be right for alignment purposes). I'm working with the BMR tech line but was hoping someone else has solved these issues.

I was waiting to hear a response to this myself.

Well don't know about your header issue but as far as the joint, when I did mine I just eye balled it till the a-arm looked straight.. Turns out I was right on the money when I got my alignment done as far as that was concerned So as long as it looks straight you will be fine, at least until you get the alignment checked and make for sure

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately, although I got the tire straight by adjusting the tie rod end, the tire smacks the inner liner in the front when I turn the wheel. Like I posted, I had to fully extend the spherical joint to get the bolt to pass through the k member. I currently working with the BMR tech line; just emailed them so photos.

I've got the BMR lower A-arms, and I got to tell you, they are a total b!tch to align properly. The bushing sleeves were too short and it tookseveral calls to BMR before I got sleeves that fit properly. If I had to go it all over again, I would have fought like hell to get poly bushings to fit in the stock a-arms.

I take it though that you did finally get it aligned and everything is okay now? Once you got the "rough" alignment done to drive it, did your alignment shop have any difficulties?

I am considering these myself, do you think the non adjustable tubular BMR lower As will have an issue?

Yes, I finally got it aligned but it took the alignment shop about 2 hours and a 6 foot breaker bar to cinch the bolts down tight enough. It seems that when weight was applied to the wheels the alignment would slip (hence the use of the breaker bar to get the bolts tight enough). If I had known it was that much trouble, I would have stuck with the stock arms.

I sent BMR a digital photo today and they confirmed the installation was correct. They asked me to take some measurements; I didn't find a big difference in measurements between the PS and DS front to back measurements (K member); I'm emailing BMR width measurements tomorrow.
