Question odd fuel pump behavior

So the other day I was adjusting the bolts on my headers.. checking for leaks and what not. Started the car and turned it off a number of times..

-during this tie the gauge was at about 1/8 of a tank

Now, the next day.. the fuel pump won't turn on. I have purchased a new FP relay, but to much disappointment, it didn't work.

The pump wasn't erratic, and the car didn't seem to choke at all, it was just sort of out of the blue

ANY help is much appreciated, thanks!

You could apply 12V directly to the fuel pump to rule all wiring or VATS as the issue. The fuel pump is a common failure.
