OBDII PCM in 94 formula??

I have a friend who thinks he may have fried his PCM and I plan on letting him use my PCM just to start the car. If the car runs we'll get him an OBDI PCM. I also have a OBDI PCM I could let him use but I soldered the resistor INTO the PCM (so I could just switch the pcm's easily without touching anything else in my car). Can I use either of them just for testing without having to switch KS's?

Either should work for that purpose though will throw a code/s. The OBD1 setup for the OBD2 swap would set a knock sensor code or the OBD2 one would set a KS, CPS and rear O2 codes
