obdI and obdII

I have a friend that has an lt1 from an unknown year 94-96 impala/caprice ect and he is wanting to know if it is obdI or II he still has all the wiring with the motor. What is a place to check?

If it has a crank sensor in the bottom of the timing cover...it is OBDII, if not then it's OBD I.

Also check for the O2's if he has 2 only then OBDI and if he has 4 (2 before cat and 2 after) then OBDII.
