O2 sensors...and symptoms...

I'm pretty sure I have bad front 02 sensors. Isn't one of the symptons having white colored smoke out of the exhaust? I cranked my car up today and it blew out some white smoke and stopped. Had a weird stumble when I put it in drive too. Where's the cheapest place to get 02 sensors for my 1997 Z28?

How many miles has this car been rode? White Smoke is indication of valve guide seals leaking oil into cylinders after it sits awhile. You can take your valve covers off and clean out the valley and drain ports so that oil can move more freely back into the engine. This may get you along for another 20,000. If your LT1 is around 110,000 miles, be gentle with it. Going average per Goodwrench is rebuild needed between 120,000 and 150,000 due to performance and its use.

I thought oil burning was a bluish type smoke??

Anyways, if you get new o2s (if that happens to be the problem) then get the OEM AC DELCO o2s. DOnt look for the cheapest, (ie Bosch) as they are not as good. I got two o2s from jason cromer for around 60 bucks for my car.

My car had that stumble most people on here have talked about from 1300 rpm to around 2200 rpm. Turns out to be bad o2s.

Alright. Well, now I know that I need to replace my passenger side front o2 sensor. Does anyone know what exactly the P0171 and P0400 codes mean? I know what they stand for, but I don't know what it means and how to fix it.

the po 171 is just saying the oxygen sensor on the opposite side is indication a lean condition... it very well may not be lean and the 02 sensor is crappin out..

Yeah, I think it is just throwing the codes cause of the crappy passenger side o2 sensor.
