difference between cutting a hole in exhaust and..

installing a cutout. Wouldnt a hole cut out of the exhaust pipe where a cutout would go serve the same purpose? Not that 30 bucks is a lot of money, but its easyer to cut a hole than to remove a section of pipe and weld a cutout in.

thanks

Having a hole in the exhaust would probably be more like an exhaust leak than having an actual cutout. Also, with a cutout you can cap it off when you don't need it open.

That might work, but you don't want to run around all the time with that loud exhaust, a cut-out is normally for Saturday night or at the track.

Well actually i do always want to run around with a screaming exhaust. i would definitely leave the cutout open all the time if i bought one.

i think that as much as u think you would run with it open all the time you would sometimes wish it were more quiet not to mention you wont pass emissions with your exhaust cut in half...30 bucks is not that much

If you want a loud exhaust all the time you might as well just take off your muffler, then when you need to go do emissions just put it back on. I personally wouldn't but thats just me.

It would be a major exhaust leak. And if you do it before the cat, you may get a MIL illumination. I went with the Off-Road Pipe which works well. Don't forget the police factor.
