O2 censors

O2 censors

is it nessasary to have O2 censors for the engine to run right, i kow the check engine light will turn on but is that the only side affect?

Yeah, you will need those on a street driven vehicle. They are crucial for good driveability, fuel economy, and emissions.

i drove mine for a bit with open headers with no 02s for a few miles and IMO it ran like crap. felt like it did nothing but make a bunch of noise at wide open throttle.

anyone have any o2 sensors for sale and do you need all 3 sensors or just the front 2

The two front, pre-cat sensors are what are used for fuel management. The two rear sensors are used to confirm the cats are functioning.
