Not getting fuel to the fuel rails

I swapped out my motor and trans and dropped in a 383ci and a T-56. I also installed a new 255lph Walbro fuel pump. I checked my fuel lines from back to front. I have fuel all the way to the end of the lines leading to right under the driver before the lines go up to the rails and also in the return line. When I go to push the release valve on the back of the fuel rails nothing comes out, not air or gas. I have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and I have been trying to see if that may be the problem but, to my dismay I still don't have any fuel. If anyone has any ideas, PLEASE let me know? Thanks for any help.

What type of car? Are the injectors getting power?

Do you know your pump is working? Sounds like those lines could be full just from gravity. With the car off, I'd connect 12V to the pump prime connector (you can see it highlighted in this pic http://www.go-fast.org/z28/photos/fuel/hotwire.jpg) and see if you can hear the pump, and see if you get pressure in the line.

Any chance you managed to "switch" the supply and return lines?
