No Spark after Opti Install
No Spark after Opti Install
I just put in an electric waterpump and a new opti, and now I am not getting any spark. I was wondering if the cam was off a tooth if it would cause the opti not to put out a spark. I would think it would just misfire. I do feel like I put it on correctly and don't want to go back underneath the cover if I don't have to. I have reinstalled the opti numerous times now and still cannot get it to crank. The car was running and starting up just fine before the install I just replaced the opti for good measure while I was putting on the new waterpump.
First and foremost I would like to say thank you shoebox. That is a great website you have there and has been a huge help to me throughout. I have checked fuses buy I will check them one more time. (it was late last night) I lent someone my multimeter and I don't remember who... I guess I will go pick one up on the way to the shop. On your website I am looking at the picture of the ICM. What are the grey and black connections that interlock and where to they go? For some reaason I am thinking I have those running to my coil. I will see when I get back there. I do have a computer at the shop so I will check back here.
I have an MSD 6A and the connectors that normally go to the coil connect to a harness to the 6A. That is why it looks funny. The other end of the MSD harness goes to the coil with only one connector.
Well, rechecked my fuses and noticed that one of the wires got pushed down the bottom of the fuse box when I stuck it in....fixed that and she purrs like a kitten...or maybe more like a tiger
Thanks for your help shoebox!
Jason
