no rev-limiter?

well i just got my car back from the shop. my car was missing really weird and come to find out that a pushrod had fallen out and was just sitting on top of the head! the guy said that the only way that it could happen was if the engine was over-revved. which didnt make sense to me because i thought all f-bodies had rev-limiters. then the told me that he didnt think they put them on this old of a car (94 T/A). i still didnt beleive him because i have a 93 camaro that does have a rev-limiter on it(trust me, i know). but when i was taking it home, i mashed it to the floor and it didnt shift til after 6 grand and only because i took my foot off the gas. so is it just my car or what? what should i do if i dont have a rev-limiter besides not let it shift at WOT? i know i could get a different chip, but is there something else that could be wrong with my computer or tranny? thanks

Yes, you have a rev limiter unless it was programmed to a higher rpm level. The rev limiter is at 5886 rpm.

Is, it can, but not more than "61-6200. The stock tachs are off by 2-300 rpm.
