Few kill stories since I got the LT1

So I've had the car for about a month now or so, dad bought it off my buddy for me, its a 94 Formula, has an 80 series flow muffler, some hi-flo cat (?), and a moroso cai, and a transmission that bounces off the rev-limiter on the 2-3 shifts its got right at 137k on it, factory 2.73 posi, t-top, bla bla bla, burgundy, but it still can't compete with the loud, annoying, too-fast for its own good burgundy IROC

So I'm strolling through traffic, riding out 1st day with it, t-tops off, when I see a car kind of pacing my left rear quarter for a few miles or so. He proceeds to get up next to me and nail it, then slows back down, at the same time I downshift into 2nd at about 45mph and nail it a few good times. We slow down a little bit and he tells me "I've already beat one of those before!" (I.E. I took the 'formula v8' sticker off and allyn modified it to say v6 and i put it on the black triangular peice between the window and roof) He continues to tell me it was a 5 speed, v6, and it "looked just like" mine... err, cool... so I threw him a few revs and let him know I was game, downshifted into 1st, pulled past his front bumper, into 2nd and I was jogging away rather quickly. He proceeded to stay behind and wouldnt ride up next to me before I had to turn right about 2 miles later. Silly guy, thought it really was a 6 banger

The second run is actually one to mention. We'd made about 3 turn arounds on Route 1 trying to chase down 2 LS1 and 1 LT1 cars, but they all turned off right as we'd almost caught up. Well as me and my buddy come out of a car lot to turn back onto route 1, he spots a black LT1 Impala SS with blacked out windows, 18" chrome some kind of hot sh*t rims, and some weird sounding exhaust. We kind of paced each other in traffic but we never could get a time where we both could nail it and when I went to get into a turn lane to turn around, the light ahead turned red and he was lined up with nobody, so I dash back across 2 lanes and line up with him. When the light went green, I had minor wheelspin up until around 35 when it hooked and went his front bumper was at my door and when it got 2nd, I put another 1-1 1/2 lengths on him to about 70. Afterwards, gave the driver a thumbs up and went on our way.

The last run was worth noting even tho this particular cobra owner thought it was cool to make stuff up and end up looking like an idiot. Me and my buddy Allyn (RiceKiller87) were riding down route 3 to pick up an herbal essance bag when we spot a white 96-98 4.6L Cobra turning the way we're going about 2 cars ahead. Damn thing was L-O-U-D! Sounded like complete horsesh*t... we catch up and I end up putting it in 2nd about a 45-50 roll and nailing it, around 70, my front bumper was at his front tire, and then the infamous rev-limiter show began and it got a good 4-5 bounces before it shifted and I stayed in it till 95-100 or so, and he pulled a 1/2 car in between us by then when he let off. We end up making a right onto another road thats has 2 lights about 1/8 mile apart. We get caught at the 1st one and my buddy asks him whats done to it. Guy told us he had no cats, some kinda bbk headers, dont even remember the mufflers, sounded like he had none, it was THAT loud. Then he proceeds to give a huge smirk on his face and mention it has a Whipple Supercharger on it that runs 11.5lbs of boost. I couldnt stop myself from laughing when my buddy told him that if hes not bullsh*tn, his car was junk and needed to be looked at bad. Light turns green, I pedal it off the line when I hear him make a quick clutch engagement and nail it in 1st, no wheelspin, both of us hook good, side-by-side, he gets 2nd, mine shifted to 2nd, and we ran up to the top of 2nd to around 70-72 where we were still side-by-side. Thought that was rather amusing.

Alrite, I'm done, just had to share my first few kill stories in the ole' LT1 while I remembered them
