No hole for pushrod....?

umm ok so i was out adjusting my rockers and i noticed on the driver side there is a little hole for the pushrod to go down into and you can't see the lifter at all. BUT on the passenger side there isn't! And you can see all the way down to the lifter.

Is this normal?

See how in the 2nd one you can see down to the lifter. and in the first one you have that guide material piece with a hole for the rod...

I am thinking you are looking at the hole in the gasket? I cant see in the pics. Probably different head gaskets on each side.

The guide material in the first one is from your head gasket. I hope you didn't forget it on the second head?

yea that was what i was referring to. I'm just trying to make sure its ok that it ISN'T there.

Other then that its making it hard trying to put this rod back in..

because now i can't get the pushrod to go far down enough to get the rocker on good enough to start threading the bolt.

So is it different head gaskets, or no head gasket?

different gasket, if there wasnt a gasket you'd have serious problems

Different head gasket.

I figured all head gasket would have those holes
