Question New Wires Or Opti?

My car takes a long time to start after it has sat there for a while especially if it has rained.

After I left the car there for 2 days and got some rain, the car took forever to start but when it started ran rough and when inspecting under the hood, I could hear some popping noise coming from the driver's side and the car would miss when the noises (pops) occured. After the car warmed up (2-3mins) the noises had almost all dissapeared. (moisture gone?)

Is that the sound of one of my wires arching or something else? The wires are Taylors 8mm (4 yrs old) and the Opti is original with 115 000 miles on it.

Do Optis makes noises under the hood other than the engine missing?

I'm getting new wires today and plan to put em on. Wish me luck.

start with the wires first, less expensive and may solve the problem.

with that kind of time/mileage..............i would change both the wires and opti just for the sake of maintenance.............the opti will probably die soon anyway, and why bother taking your car apart twice?
