hmm well if you sparked something you could have fried wires and connections but i dont see that being the out come of the reason this is happening.. are any codes being thrown?

When the key is off, there is no power to the knock sensor. Why would it spark?

well i'm not sure but there was something on the side of the block that was sparking against my ratchet and it was near the sensor What about the temp gauge sensor on the other side...would that have power when the switch was off...I was thinking it was the passenger side that sparked though....but anyways tomorrow i'm gonna put the old AC Delco back in. It probably wont change anything but then I will know for sure....if that doesn't change anything then I will start checking any possible thing that I could have done to it......is there any possible sensor or vacuum line that could cause my car to run like it is? I always try to explain everything as good as I can and it really frustrating that I just cant figure out whats wrong......usually I can just do a few searches and ask a few questions and everything is answered

hmm i always thought you would be having to hit a hot wire to do that.. for example hitting the wire into the alternator or such.. i really dont think that had a issue.. if it was me i would put all new plugs in the car.. possibly 1 was bad.. who knows what happend to them before you got them... and why would you change from ac delco it really doesnt make sense.. ac delco's plugs are made for gm cars.. the guy before me had bosch in my car and it ran like ****.. when i went back to ac delco the car ran alot better.

ok so heres the deal...today I put all the old ac delco's back in it and now it runs fine....also I found that the O2 sensor is sparking when the switch was off, not the knock sensor....Is this right??? so i pulled the battery terminal off finished my plug swap and when I hooked the battery back up i grabbed a test light and put it on the 02 sensor and it had nothing....so what do ya think about that?

the O2 sensor is in your y pipe.. that shouldnt be sparking either but i guess anything is possible.. i would go buy some new ac delco plugs put them in and call it a day. If the O2 sensor is sparking i would prolly by some new ones which could have been causing the car to run lean if they are messed up it could be sending a signal that you are dumping too much gas. i would replace them they are like 35 i think for both.. and do the new ac delco plugs.. let me know how it turns out
