Is the Delphi unit the same original gm unit or just as good. I see alot people run these. I'mgetting ready to buy one, want to make sure I get the best available.

 

They used the AC Delco unit as the original unit. AC Delco and Delphi are essentially the same product. Just slap the delco sticker on and the price jumps up.

 

Thanks just did an Lori change with mar cap and rotor not more than 15 miles ago. I didn't change the optical portion and I think that now has crapped out. Donct want to do this a third time.

 

Failure of the optical cam position sensor will set codes. I'd post the specific codes for you, but I don't know the year of your car.

Why not add a "Signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, trans and any major mods? That way people can provide more accurate help.

Well this is an secondary thread from the granatelli one I started earlier. Problem is the car was running poorly and now not at all. Was hitting a little bit, but no start, and now nothing. The only code that I pulled was p300 multiple cylinder missfire. I've still got to check the fuel pressure, however I starting to think something with the opti thats why I'm asking. This car has me stumped. This is on a 96 lt1 wit 4l60e.
