New Numbers.. Idea's?

Well was at the track last night.. First time with the CAI and Pulleys.. Wanted to break 13's but just didn't happen, what else do I have to do!?!?! I'm thinking the track is the reason I didn't, heck I beat a 02 SS twice and killed a LS1 Z.. Best time was a 14.144 @ 101.19.

ET Run

60' = 2.308
330' = 6.129
1/8 = 9.243
MPH = 79.43
1000 = 11.901
1/4 = 14.144
MPH = 101.19

I was really hoping to see a 13.8 @ 103 but judging by the LS1's track just wouldn't allow it. Was at Island Dragway. I am launching at about 1800, releasing the clutch quickly but steadly about 1/2-3/4 throttle, when the clutch is out then I hit it to the floor and the tires light right up. Ran with 20 # in them.. Like my sig says too even getting some spin grabbing 3rd.

TIA
Craig

EDIT: Oh yea it was 77 degrees out..

At a well prepped track you should easily get in the 13's.Get yourself some headers,that should do it there.Pretty good to be beating up on the LS1's.

My BFG comptas used to be like that. Seriously get some drag radials or regular 555s or sz50, something. You won't regret it. Save your current tires for the front. I don't think i'll ever run anything other than 555r's again.

If you get the shorties do the single cat conversion and get the 94 style headers. Headers Rule.

You don't need any more mods power wise to get into the 13's. You need traction. Get a sub 2.00 60 and you'll be well into the 13's.

Thats what I figured.. What kind of tires can I run without a chance of exploding my rear? Its a daily driver so cant break it.

I've got the same traction problem. The Nittos will help. Thing is, the better you hook up, the more you risk rearend damage.

I have a couple of friends running Nittos and they consistently get 2.0 to 2.1 60ft times and so far their rear ends have held. On of these is an LS1 with about 380 RWHP. I still think you need to be careful and roll on to the throttle, not dumping it.

I've got a moser 12 bolt so I've been hitting it pretty hard. I've got down in the 1.8 60Ft and I'm still spinning ET Streets, so I have more to learn. I'm pretty sure I can cut a 1.6 60 with practice which shou get me to about 12.5's.

Damn thats low mph for the hp you got. ET streets couldnt lower that much could it? Maybe some clutch slippage?
