a new maf is 289.99 for a granatelli through summit. i am sure you can find used headers for under 300 bucks. that is definitely not pocket change for me either, i was just assuming that since you were looking at a new maf, headers were in the same price range. sorry

also, i am not sure where you are located but if you need snow tires for your winter beater, check out tirerack.com and look at winter tire packages. they have tires called "winter force" they have excellent reviews (better than the blizzaks) and they are like super cheap for tires. i just got them for $52 a piece for my truck, they are probably like $30 for a small car like an escort!!
just trying to save you some bucks, my goal is to have every f body on this planet at least moderately modified!! hell, if i can help you save some $ now, you can have more fun next summer!!!
