James said the opti is fairly new, but the wires have certainly seen better days. Fuel filter done last night.
Like I said, it runs rich, but 'shows' lean, so new O2s going in as well. NO EGR (tuned out) I may also try the PCMforless tune I have, and see what that does.

any other thoughts? It drove perfect for 15 minutes, I was even able to wind out 1st and 2nd to 6k+then after 15 minytes, WHAM!! It just seemed to hit a wall, and started to run like crap,
BARELY limped home, chuggin, sputtering, and then would run fine again?
VERY aggrevating. Ready to dump this thing already!

Sounds like it needs to be data logged for a couple of miles or two and see what shes doing. Only so much you can see with a narrow band a/f guage. Im off this weekand. If you want to stop by the house, I can scan the car for you and we can see what she's doing.
Re: new to the LT1, ignition breaking up 3-4k?
ok just dug this thread up bc ive been having the same problem...i replaced the opti(ac delco), plugs(ngk tr-55), wires(taylor ovc), coil(borg-warner)...and it still has the same problem...its real nice with all its power for about the first 15 mins after start up..then stumbles thru mid rpm range...i had the infamous drivers side hangin exhaust pipes...could that have messed up my o2 sensor on that side at all?? and be causin a bad a/f ratio?

Swap plugs and wires first. My 93 was sputtering alot high rpm at one point... plugs shouldn't have been bad yet, but swapped with new plugs and wires... problem solved.
