New Hot Cam times. (what to Improve)

went to track and heres my slip

60' time didnt register
1/8 8.217@87.05
1/4 12.64@114.82

60' 1.9
1/8 8.195@88.21
1/4 12.50@112.15

All i have done to suspension is BMR toque arm and Nitto DR . Just ordered a set of Hoosier QTP's and skinny's. Going back with the slicks and Lower control arms what do you think i can hit, with a decent launch.

How the hell did you pick up 27+ mph on the last half of the track on your first run(or can I just not add/subtract)

Id say 12.teens since w/better sixty should be capable of high 1.6's. great runs.

momentum. thats a typical 1/8 - 1/4 times Id say. the 114 mph seems high, but certainly possible.

Even with a six speed I don't see picking up 27 mph from the 1/8 to 1/4.... I have ported heads, HOTcam and bolt ons, I have trapped 87mph in the 1/8 before but would be lucky to see 110 in the 1/4!

dug out one of my old timeslips from a couple years ago. I think this is one from my 95 Z back then.

60ft 2.081
1/8et 8.948
1/8mph 76.94
1/4et 13.97
1/4mph 99.13

hows that? 23mph increase. 27 could be totaly possible w/the right combo.

Why is that NOT possible. I do have a 6 spd. I had to shift into 5th due to my gears and my 25" tires i was bouncing the rev.

With that MPH very low 12's are possible with a good 60' of like a 1.8. I'd guess your 60 was about a 2.0 based on those times. I just ran a 12.18 @115 again today on just a 1.90 60'. I couldnt hook worth crap today, made 5 runs and only made a full run on two of them, the other times it spun off the line, that was on BFG DR's. I know I can hit a very high 11 with a 1.7 60'. Tried once launching at 5k today to get there and it just hit the rev limiter (6500)

Hey Greg, those are awsome numbers for stock heads. I was hoping to run that good or a little better after installing my CC305 and Loyd Elliot heads.

It's not that it isn't possible........ Just highly unlikely in my opinion. On your first slip you said that your 60 ft time didn't register, maybe their equipment at the track was messed up......

I dont understand why u think that????? i ran about 9 times that day. My best was the 12.50 but all the others were like 12.60-13.00 i was f in around with the launch. All my MPH was 110 or a little better and my best 60' as a 1.8. I HIGHLY doubt the tracks equpiment was f'd up.
