Arrow new cam timing

ok Do I have to take the opti apart on a 94 lt1 set the number 1 at TDC and move the rotor to spark plug number one?

If so off with the harmonic balancer pulley

I wish maybe just one person who did there ****ty write up would of added this step into the cam install guide..

You know, I had a technical response typed in, but I erased it. As a person that has a cam install guide on my site, I take offense at your remarks. Taking the opti apart should not be a step in any procedure unless you screwed something up by not following directions.

Good luck in figuring it out. With your attitude, you are going to need it.

Shoebox I looked everywhere for a decent cam install site.. I had no Idea you did a right up...

I was pretty pissed off after spending 4 hours getting the harmonic balancer off and already having it back

you Did a great write up

But wait a second... Everyone told me when the 2 dots where lined up correctally the the little dot should be directally above the small dot.. In picture TDC #6 Was I sopposed to put the timming chain back on when It was #1? Ive seen 4 or 5 right ups and it says that the #6 was TDC #1 and thats how it should be installed

If you are saying that some LT1 write-ups that you have seen say the dots together are #1 TDC, they are incorrect.

The illustration is correct. If you lined up the dots together (#6 TDC), it should be on right. If you have a splined drive opti, you need to index it correctly when you install it. Line up the "missing" tooth.

When I put it on I had to kinda turn it for that little key looking thing to line up.... you think I should be ok?

Yeah, that is what I was referring to lining up. That sounds good.
