That's cause eagle stuff is junk. Their tolerances are horrible; have had rods come in .007" oversize on big end and/or .003" taper. Their cranks are can have .002" varience between journals...Surface fininsh is poor, especially on thrust as has been stated. For cheap cranks I always use Scat, never eagle.

And, but then, 6 speed going to the 383 then you and go to the rods. After, go talk guy built fix for free. Hipe helps.
