Needing help with plugs and wires

ok all of you out there with headers, when you replaced your plugs and wires, what did you replace them with? some people say over the valve cover wires, but i cant figure out what i need...what should i be looking for? could i just replace them with stock wires from autozone? there is all kinds of different types of wires, different boots, and everything and im really confused, so could some one chime in and give me a hand on exactly what im needing for plug wires to go with Mac mids. Also, when you replaced your plugs, did you just replace them with stock ones? thanks

I replaced mine with the otvc wires and I like them much better. Check out Thunder Racing, they offer a kit for these wires.

www.thunderracing.com

they have a whole kit for the taylor over valve cover wire kit, around $90.... everything you need...

all the wires are the same length, and the plug ends are not on them.... you cut and put on the plug ends to meet your needs... fast and easy to put on, and no worrying about burnt plugs

Re: Needing help with plugs and wires

When i did headers i went with NGk plugs and Taylor wires. I'm planning on going OTV.

You can't use stock wires cause the will be too short. When you buy the kit the opti end will be on the wires but the plug shoe won't. You'll have to cut the length while placing the wire in it's path over the valves and up to the plugs. If ya need to know how to set up the shoe onto the wire pm me and i'll give ya the detail.

Re: Needing help with plugs and wires

thanks everyone. i finally found the otvc kit at thunder racing. its a little more than i was wanting to pay, but it looks like what im needing. on the plugs, should i go with the same heat range. and should i go with stock gaping? what would be the advantage of going with a higher gapped plug?
thanks guys!

It doesn't look like your running anythin power adders, so stock should be good.

So adjust the gap. No big deal.
