need some help with my hookers(not an install prob)
I ordered the hooker long tubes for my 97 bird, now.....I'm almost positive it doesnt come with bungs for the O2 sensor and the egr. I plan on putting the mufflex Y-pipe on, but the car will have to be taken to my local mufflex to have that done. I was thinkin about runnin open headers to the mufflex but if im not running any O2's then i think its not gonna run right and I dont want to mess anything up. Lastly, the headers will go on after I install my new heads/cam and I wil have a dyno appointment to have it properly tuned after all is said and done. So basically my issue is that after installing the heads/cam then the headers, how can i get the thing to be driveable to a place without that stuff mentioned earlier? Cam is a cc306 btw, with edelbrock heads. If this is still unclear what im trying to do....the basics are i will have a stock computer(until all parts are on and will go to dyno to have tuned) with heads/cam and open headers with prob no O2 bungs and the car needs to get to the exhaust place and my local tuning shop. sorry if this is long but im trying to be as clear as possible and my goal is to not have to tow the damn car around town

Driving with open headers is fine, as long as you don't get pulled over by the cops. Running without O2s is fine, just reset your computer after they are installed and the exhaust is in. How far away is your dyno? I wouldn't drive cross-country without a tune, but if you are just going across town or something thats fine. Your car won't explode, it'll just run crappy.
