need a part # for the optispark vent into the intake elbow!!!

I was wondering if anyone had a diagram or a part number for the small plastic elbow that connected to the vented optispark hose into the rubber intake elbow. it connects on the top and is used on the vented optispark lt1. the parts guys at the local chevy dealerships are basically telling me that I'm stupid and there's no such thing on a stock z28. thanks

In 94 (assuming from sig this is the car it's going on) the opti was NOT vented. It could have been converted but it did not come from the factory that way. If you need one cal Dal.....I bought mine from him when I replaced the opti. He was cheap on parts and shipped them fast.

AFAIK, they don't sell just the little plastic elbow by itself. However, you should be able to get a vacuum elbow for next to nothing at any good parts store.

When I said I bought mine from Dal I meant the WHOLE line AND elbow. I "think" it was either $8 or $12. But shoebox is right (as always ).........next to nothing for it at a parts store.

yeah, i converted it to vented opti. whenever i call a parts place, i ask for parts for a '95 that way i can't screw it up. they were still telling me there was no such thing. I really want to go in there and wave it in their faces.

is that whole setup actual part of the vaccum system, or does it just vent and have very low pressures entering and exiting it?

There is a very small amount of vacuum from the engine that is used to draw filtered air from the elbow through the opti.

so if it was leaking or not even connected, it woud have no effect as to the actual engine vaccum, right?
