There are no part numbers listed for 3.73s for the f-body because they did not put them in from the factory. The part number would have to come out of an S-10 parts book or something which I don't have. If they are GM gears, they should have a GM stamp, number of teeth, part number and ring gear diameter (7-5/8).

GM does not make 3 series gears for a 2 series carrier.

Since you know they are GM gears, and since GM doesn't make 3 series gears for a two series carrier, it is safe to assume they are on a 3 series carrier.

If they are GM gears they are on a 3 series carrier. Are you reading what I'm writing? GM does not make 3.73's for a 2 series carrier.

Ok, you guys got all that straightned out?

The only 3 series posi carrier p/n I can find is listed for 1993 - GM PART # 26036755 . That was for GU5 (3.23s) with G80 (posi).

ya if gm doesnt make a 3.73 for a 2 series posi then it must be a 3 series. the part number on them is gm-14092111-11:41-7 5/8. and the pinion gear says gm-11:41. which is a 3.73 when u calculate it.so they must be the right ones.it just didnt match the part number on the only 3.73 gm gear i found a number for which was 14091497.i think the posi is a later yr posi because there is no reluctor ring on it.thanx for ur help.
