Need to know my compression ratio...(LE2)

hey guys,

I am running a LE2 head/cam combo along with a supercharger. The cam was specially cut for a blower. I am currently running a conservative 6 psi. of boost, but I am going for some tuning soon so I want to change the pulley to get the boost as high as I can and still keep it safe.

Details of my bottom end:
Crank: stock GM crank, 24,000 miles on it, balanced, polished, magnafluxed.
Rods: Forged eagle H-beam 6" rods
Pistons: Forged SRP dished pistons with a -24CC dome volume
Displacement is still 350 cu. in.

-according to the srp website, my compression will be 9.0:1 if the head is
58CC. I am using a fel-pro 1074 head gasket also. My question is what is the head CC on lloyds LE2's? is it right around 58, or lower or higher? Is that 9.0:1 ratio right or do you guys think it is lower or higher? Besides the 58CC, they only list the compression for 64CC and 70CC and I know its not that.

Any opinions about what my compression is are appreciated. As well as how much boost you think I could run given my bottom-end set-up and that I am currently making 446 RWHP, thanx...

You would need to add deck height and gasket thickness and diameter to calculate the static CR. And you have no overbore at all, with the new pistons? You just cleaned up the stock bores? SRP has no way to knowing any of the basic info about your engine, so a number like 9.0:1 would be a very general guideline.

Didn't you check the head cc's before you assembled the engine? Didn't you calculated the CR with the specific info for your engine, or did you just assume the SRP data was correct?

Yes it is the stock bore cleaned up - did not need to oversize anything due to the engine only having 24,000 miles on it and being in perfect shape.

I basically need someone who knows about lloyd's heads so I know what the milling was and CC is so I can figure out my exact comp. ratio on my set-up

transam396 - your using LE2 heads, -24cc pistons, and stock crank like me?

just curious - i thought I was the only one i knew of with that combo.

I am running a Vortech S-trim blower.

Thinking changing to a procharger or even going turbo. the s-trim of mine is almost maxed out. The only thing i am worried about is the 2 bolt main. I heard a stock magnafluxed crank can take a lot, but i dunno about those mains. did you convert to 4 bolt or splay your caps?

I dunno- maybe I should just be happy with around 450 RWHP. But its so easy to be greedy and want more

What turbo are you planning on running?

Lloyd told me the chambers are usually around 57cc when I had my LE2 heads done. You'd need to get them cc'd to know the exact number.

Did the machine shop deck the block at all? I think the deck height on a stock LT1 block is around 9.030", take that number with a grain of salt though.
