need info on Eldebrock headers

Need info on Eldebrock headers for my 93z. I know they are painted black, will they stay looking ok, or rust out. Do you have to loose the steering shaft, or motor mount to install them. Right now I have a 2 and a half inch pipe where the cat was, will this fit over the y-pipe of the Eldebrocks(do not want to put a cat back on after emmissions), or will the muffler shop have to make me a pipe to clamp on. thanks,Pickerman

Well, no muffler shop legally will touch or do anything that invovles the removal or fabrication or something invovling the cat.
They can get big fines.

But i'm sure a speed shop will do it for you. Thats how i got mine done.

So u dont have to take emmisions ever again after your next test?? If thats the case, then why get shorties? Get some LT's..

But the shop can weld or flange up the ORP pipe to work with your y-pipe. I dont recall, but i think mine is 3" but i could be wrong.

Eldebrock headers

after I put my cat back on and take emmissions test, I have one in another 2 years(2005). They go even and odd years cars. Thus 05=93. I really like the low cost of Eldebrocks, guess in some things I am cheap.Plus I like my Hooker aerochamber muffler and ss tips. Do not want to change them just for 3 inch. Might be giving up a few rwh but I can make up for it elsewhere. thanks for the post1Pickerman
