Need help very fast, trying to remove steering shaft
Hey ive soaked it in liquid wrench and silicone chain lube you know whatever I could find in my garage but it will come out so far then no matter how hard I tug or beat it with a hammer it stops, is there another way to do this or any tips...BTW Im reinstalling the drivers side longtube, also cant remember if the oil filter needs to be removed cause thats bein a bitch too.

Each end of the shaft has a couplings that has a 'pinch bolt'...
Loosen those bolts, slide the shaft up farther onto the 'upper steering column shaft', then remove the lower end from the 'steering box'..
Then take the upper part off by sliding back down the steering column shaft part..
You HAVE to disconnect BOTH ENDS, or of course it won't come off... [it doesn't stretch or compress]
Disconnect the lower bolt too, then pull it up onto the steering shaft, then the bottom end comes off the steering box, then remove it....
And shoebox' page was describing steering column removal, not shaft..
