I didn't read where you specified your heads/cam combo? What kind of spring pressures are you going to have?
My default answer is if you are going to run higher spring pressures than stock then get a true roller chain like the LT4 E/D. It'll probably cost you less than getting a double roller due to what needs to be done to make a double roller work.

What type of failure? I've never read of a LT4 chain breaking, but I have heard of the water pump/cam gear problems which never seemed to be the fault of the gears. Shawn, the moderator of the Texas forum broke his stock chain after having to slam on his breaks (six speed) and his engine had 30K miles on it and was stock internal.
