I say no, just because I hate stickies.

Of course, Brent can't control when other sites come/go/change URLs, but everything that is of his creation is still there (and some super great and helpful info). It is very hard to police all the links with a site so big. His site has been up for many, many years.

Wouldn't it be a conflict of interest for him to put up a sticky to his own site (seeing he is the moderator of this forum)?

 

I voted yes, because there is no Links section here. We obviously can't have a sticky for every good site, and too many stickies defeat the purpose and clutter the pages. But when on somebody elses PC without my bookmarks, I usually start here, and a links collection from CZ28 would be a timesaver once in a while. Then I would only need to remember one car site, this one. What I'd like to see is one Sticky with the unquestionably helpful links collected under it so I don't have to search them out with Google when I can't remember them. Just a few basics, not a big list of every obscure source of info. Shoebox's, Brent's, stuff that does not compete with this site directly, or sponsors. It would save brainpower and help keep life a tiny bit simpler, without detracting from traffic here.

Anybody who can't find that site with a Google search isn't going to bother reading a sticky.

 

thats true.......everyone always ask simple things that are in the stickies but they never bother to even look

 

Brent and I put a lot of work into the Wheel and Tire FAQ. Yet people still ask how to put 17x11's on, what the correct backspace for Welds is, what size tire do they need, etc. Every once in a while I think I should just "unstick" the FAQ and let it sink to the bottom......

Then there's the people who don't bother to look at what belongs in each forum, and ask questions about window motors and vinyl stripes in the engine tech forums......

Its hopeless.
