Need help with Power Steering

Anybody ever make their own power steering lines? If so, what parts did you use?

I am interested in the fitting sizes for the PS pump and the rack.

For what you'd spend on the AN fittings and stainless hose, you could probably buy an OEM replacement for cheaper.

Made one from Russell line, be sure if you are making your own lines use the teflon lined hose and high pressure fittings. Standard -6 line is rubber lined and is rated at about 350psi, where as the line and fittings for power steering are rated around 1500 psi. How do I know? Well when you try to be cheap, you wind up paying twice as much....

Hey Jon,

You may want to talk to Rob over at Modular Turbo. He sells a power steering line kit for the LS1 cars and can probably give you an idea of what fittings you need.
