Need help picking cam.

I have mods in sig but CC306 doesnt pull hard enough for me down low. What is a good cam that I can see 370rwhp from and still have good low end and mid range? I only drive on nice days and mostly in town so revving to 6300 with cc306 isnt very practicle. I should have considered this earlier but hey crap happens. Any help is appreciated.

Have you ever researched on the cc305? That may be good for starters

Re: Need help picking cam.

What kind of numbers are people puting down with cc305? What is the gm847 like? I would like to hear from people who have these cams. I've searched but all I get is "oh I bet I can get such and such horsepower with this cam". I want to know what is best low and mid range cam without losing much 1/4 mi time. Remember I had cc306 so I don't want something horribly slower.

For setups that only see lower revs, the XE line fom Comp, or the equivalent, are a great choice. However, with a 6-speed you also have the option of keeping the CC306 and adding some gear. Even 3.73's might be enough.

Just a thought.

Dude you didnt search enough i guess....The GM 847 is pretty similar to the CC 306 so if you dont like that then forget the 847. Do a more extensive search on the CC 305 and i think you will be surprised!!

Listen to rskrause but the XE line-up can be just as agressive as the 306 you have depending on the cam. You just need to know specify what EXACTLY you are looking for.

Ok thanks rskrause, sounds like 3.73 or 4.10 gears would be a better idea than swapping cam. I'll still have to spin it high but it would get there quicker right?

LE stage2 is suposed to be exacvtly what you want, the same as the 306 with a much better low end.
