you can get under the car and remove the transmission pan. This will drain approx 1 gal of Dexron ATF. Please note you will need a trans pan gasket and filter kit.(see your dealer) This method is ok but will only change a fraction of your trans fliud. Other methods involve using specialized machines that will remove all of your fliud and replace it with new stuff. I work at a Chevy dealer and we use BG cleaning agents, I use this stuff on my "built" tranny with very good success. If you can spend $100 on it I reccomend it whole heartedly.

Jiffy Lube SUCKS! Ask them if they are changing the filter or using a machine to flush out the old fluid. For $88 they are probably doing a flush which is good. Remeber filter=only 1 gal changed. Flush=all changed. I do not know if they are using chemical treating or not, but I only trust the BG stuff cause I use it every day and have seen nothing but good from it.

at the one I work at it is, but I live in FL. You live in Chicago so it'll probably set you back a little more. By the way, how's the weather?

As far as trans fluid I use B&M, but a friend of mine really likes the Royal Purple
